Cheshire Business Awards 2018: Technoprint Cheshire Ltd. wins Corporate Social Responsibility Award

Technoprint has prided itself on being a socially responsible organisation since it was founded in 1988. Winning the Corporate Social Responsibility award is a real testament to their ethos and shows that hard work and making a difference to the local area really does make an impact in the long term, internally and externally.

The organisation works closely with schools and colleges within their local area. Taking part in and sponsoring curriculum enrichment events on a regular basis as well as offering work experience opportunities for students. They regularly work with charities, raising funds to improve the local area and selecting one local ‘charity of the year’ each year to support specifically.

Alongside its charitable work, Technoprint views its most important commitment to corporate and social responsibility as the protection of the environment. In 2010 they obtained the prestigious ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Accreditation and in each audit the fantastic standard of work Technoprint has been doing has been highlighted. That level of dedication was again reflected when they received ISO 14001:2015, which is the latest update of that standard. Those international standards are met, not out of any governmental or legal imperative but instead under the company’s own volition, another example of its dedication to corporate social responsibility.

Technoprint’s Managing Director, Alan Ryan commented “Despite being relatively small when compared to the wider pharmaceutical industry, we like to think that our accreditations set us apart from our competitors. This is a commitment we have made through choice rather than because we have to, as protecting the wider environment is at the heart of the way we work. We are keen advocates for supporting local businesses, something which we have acted upon for many years by using a large number of suppliers from the surrounding area.   We are also proud to be active within our community, via regular sponsorship and support, and through attending events led by the local council, schools or colleges. Last year, we supported three local charities; Crook Lane Respite, Mid Cheshire Mind and Pinewood Children’s Centre, raising and donating more than £850. This year we are raising money for our local hospital, via the Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer Awareness and Support Group.”

Who are Technoprint?

Technoprint is the UK’s largest independent supplier of information leaflets for the pharmaceutical industry.

The company has positioned itself as a leading light in the highly specialised field of pharmaceutical information leaflets. This is a genuinely niche area, requiring expert knowledge and an on-going commitment to excellence. Producing leaflets which are printed on ultra-thin paper (as low as 35gsm), and can be folded down to just 18mm, requires a highly specific skill set and a determination to constantly innovate and improve.

Technoprint places a great emphasis on being a local employer, employing 24 staff from surrounding areas such as Winsford, Middlewich and Northwich.
