Last month we welcomed two new members of staff to Technoprint; Sam and Geoff. To get to know them a little better, they will be the focus for the next two employee case studies. Read on to find out more about our latest recruits.
This month we will focus on…
Geoff is our newest addition to the Quality team and joins Graham and Andy as Quality Officer. His role is diverse and he is responsible for carrying out quality control checks on all finished goods. He works to specific quality and environmental standards and will in future perform internal and supplier audits.
Geoff has previously worked for a large pharmaceutical company and brings with him a wealth of knowledge within this industry. Prior to that Geoff was a manager for a large overnight delivery network. His many years of experience within these industries will be a great asset to Technoprint.
Not only was Geoff attracted to working for Technoprint for its reputation as being a good employer, but his experience of the recruitment process reinforced his perception that Technoprint is a welcoming and inclusive employer.
Geoff is enjoying working for Technoprint and is finding his new role refreshing but challenging. He admits that he has still loads to learn but he is only a few weeks into the job.
Outside of work, Geoff loves cooking having previously worked as a chef! He also likes photography, the Arts and ballet; but quickly adds that he enjoys watching ballet not participating!! He loves rugby and motorsport Formula 1 and Moto GP. Geoff is most proud of gaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, Media and Communication as a mature student.
Geoff has two ambitions, the first is to shine at Technoprint like he has in previous organisations and secondly, to attend all races within a season of Moto GP or Formula 1 .
When asked has Geoff got any claims to fame, he commented that “I’m not sure if winning a tournament at Liverpool Chess Congress when I was eleven would really count, so, no I don’t have any claims to fame”.
Thank you to Geoff for taking time out to answer our questions, it’s been great getting to know him more. We wish him many years of success working at Technoprint.
